Quick Monitor Buttons
You can listen to defined signals by one mouse click via the Quick Monitor Buttons. For this, you need to create buttons in the DHDOM and to assign the desired signals that should be connected to the monitoring output.
Choose the entry Workstations
in the Administration
menu. The Workstation Configuration
window appears. The monitoring buttons of the DHDOM can be configured on the Quick Monitor Buttons
tab. These settings are not based on single users, but on the PC the users log in. The basic settings can only be done by administrators, but every user can modify the enabled buttons depending on personal needs. Modifications done by a user without user login are not saved: they will get lost after a user login or when exit the DHDOM.
Select the workstation in the list on the left-hand side you want to edit. You can define the number of buttons (max. 400 buttons) and the arrangement in the Arrangement
part simultaneous. That means you enter the number of the columns as well as the rows and the total of buttons is given automatically (e.g. 5 columns x 4 rows = 20 buttons). In the text boxes Height of a button
and Font Size
you can enter the vertical size of the buttons and the size of the button labels. The horizontal dimensions are given automatically by the number of columns and the current size of the window. Press Set
to confirm your settings. Reset
deletes all quick buttons and sets Height of a button
and Font Size
to the standard values.
If there are already defined buttons on other workstations, it is possible to copy these settings to the currently selected workstation by using the function Copy Quickbuttons From
. Please note that the settings in the Arrangement
section are getting overwritten by loading the quick buttons from another workstation.
The list in the Available Quick Buttons
section shows all configured buttons. Choose the respective button from the list you want to edit. Give the button a name in the text box Label
. Click Select…
to assign a source to the quick button. Activate the checkbox Not Changeable by Users
if the button should not be editable. The color of the button and the color of its label can be set individually for each button. You can restore the predefined colors by pressing the respective reset button.
Press Apply
to save your settings if you want to continue with the workstation configuration or press OK
to save and close the Workstation Configuration
window. It is possible to undo all settings and reload the state you had saved last by pressing Cancel
.
How to Adjust and to Use Quick Monitor Buttons
Click on the symbol in the toolbar to show or hide the quick monitor buttons. Alternatively, you can also use the Quick Buttons
entry in the View
menu to handle this function.
Note
It is necessary to activate the Use Monitoring
function on the Monitoring Options
tab to enable the quick monitor buttons.
By clicking a quick monitor button, its source is connected to the monitoring output. An active connection is shown by a blue border around the button. The connection gets released by pressing the button again.
All enabled quick monitor buttons (checkbox Not Changeable by Users
is deactivated) can be modified individual by each user. Therefore, you only have to drag'n'drop the desired source to the quick monitor button. For the assignment, the sources can directly be taken from the matrix and list view or the Monitoring Sources
tab. Another possibility is the Change Input
option of the buttons contextual menu that is explained in the following. In this case, the Audio Tree
window is opened and you can assign inputs of this list to the buttons.
You can reach some more options of the button configuration by the mentioned contextual menu. For this, you have to right-click the button. The most functions are only executable if you have attached a source to the button and you don't use the administrator's predetermined source. The Restore Button Default
function resets the settings of the button back to the administrator's default. Moreover, with the contextual menu, you can change the label as well as the colors of the button and the label.
Note
If an administrator assigns sources directly by drag'n'drop from the matrix or the Monitoring Sources
tab, these settings only affect himself. Only the assignments, which are done in the Workstation Configuration
window refer to the quick monitor buttons of other users.
