The navigator is an additional tool in Toolbox5. It has no functions of its own and is intended to make configurations in Toolbox5 faster.
The navigator is located in the lower section of the Toolbox5 window. The green button in the upper right corner of the navigation window minimizes and then again maximizes the window.
With the help of this tool you can directly switch to the configuration sections of Toolbox5 that are connected with the current editing window. In the Toolbox Configuration
window you can select whether the navigator shows a static content or whether it follows your configuration process. (See Configuration) The following example illustrates this (navigator follows the selected object):
You are in the <Device>/Audio/Output Functions
subsection of the project tree and edit the output function CR LSP 1 L
. In the navigator window, the sources and destinations of this output function are shown automatically (logic functions, output functions, audio sources, keys, etc.).
In this output function, you find for example the logic functions CR_LL
. If you want to learn more about these logic functions, in the navigator double-click on LF 4: CR_LL
. Then, the destinations and sources of this logic function are shown in the navigator.
If you want to change this logic function, click between the sources and destinations lists. This button always directs you to the latest selection, no matter whether this was done in the main window or in the navigator. You are now automatically directed to the editing window of the logic Function CR_LL
.
If you have done the last modifications of the logic function and you now want to return to the output function you have just worked with, click to load the latest navigator view. Then click .
Click to go back to the contents recently viewed and forward again like in a browser window.
In the clipboard, you can store logic functions, audio sources and other sources and destinations for a quicker access during the configuration.
Drag the sources and destinations to the clipboard window to store them. Later on, you can insert the objects at the desired places using drag & drop. You can also drag objects of the clipboard to the navigator.
By right-clicking on the clipboard a contextual menu opens. This enables you to show the currently selected entry of the clipboard in the navigator, to delete the entry or to remove all entries of the clipboard.
