Hints & Tips

The MIDIControl Software can only work under defined circumstances. Here some common Hints & Tips on configuring and using the software are listed.

DHDCS Usage

  • Disable TCP Protocol Logging on your Series 52 Core Device while running MidiControl Software
  • Do not set a Log Level while running MidiControl Software
  • Do not have Maintenance Window open when running MidiControl Software
  • Do not Update your DHD Devices when running MidiControl Software
  • Do not send Configuration Files to your DHD Devices when running MidiControl Software

After using MidiControl Software and before using TB5, TB8 or Maintenance Window, close MidiControl Software and restart DHDCS.

MIDI Interface Problems

If your MIDI interface or MIDI loopback software is running incorrect, the MidiControl Software log will show something like this: 

error open midi in device 0: Die derzeit verwendete Gerätekennung ist außerhalb des zulässigen bereichs für Ihr System
error open midi out device 2: Die derzeit verwendete Gerätekennung ist außerhalb des zulässigen bereichs für Ihr System

This means that MidiControl Software detects an ID mismatch. Make sure, your MIDI interface or MIDI loopback software is working properly and restart MidiControl Software.

MIDI Interface / Software seem to 'loose' data

Make sure you configured the MIDI Interface / Loopback Software I/Os correctly!

On the MidiControl Software, the MIDI-In must be the MIDI-Out of your DAW.
On the MidiControl Software, the MIDI-Out must be the MIDI-In of your DAW.

When using the Same MIDI Device for In and Out, you may create a loop.
