View Container
View Containers allow more flexibility and make configuration of your Toolbox project easier and faster. View container behave like 'TFTs in TFTs'.
To add a new View Container:
- In project tree, go to
View Container
and clickAdd
. Enter a distinctive name and choose between Fader View and Central View. You can either choose one of the given sizes or manually enter theWidth
andHeight
you want for your View Container. - Go to your added View Container in the
View Container
node. It looks and works similar to the<Device>/Views
subsection. For more information on creating views see View Creation. The difference is that not all elements are available. For a list of available elements see Available Elements. You can add several views within one View Container. For example, if you want to create a Fader View Container, you can add new sub-views for microphones, line inputs and 5.1 inputs. - Now, go to the
<Device>/Views
node and select the View where you want to place the Container. In theAvailable Elements
subsection, chooseContainer
and drag and drop it to your view. - In
Element Configuration
, you can choose theContainer Type
and enter a distinctive name. If you use the View Container to create a Fader View, you need to enter theFader Offset
as well.Fader Offset
is relative to the offset given each individual module within <Device>/Mixer/Console. - To assign a fader view container to a channel, go to
Mixer/Fader Channels
and select a channel. In theAdvanced
tab, you can choose the default view for the selected channel.

Navigation
To switch between container sub-views you can use standard TFT Function keys, such as Show View
or Set Channel Views
and add them a View Container attribute.

You can use View Container for example for creating fader views for different inputs (microphones, line inputs, 5.1 etc.) or if you want to put the same elements such as a measuring section into several views. View Container also make combining fader and central views into one view easy, which is especially important for TX mixers.
