Operation Server & Operation Manager version 10.0 release notes

Important
This document covers changes introduced with version 10.0. These changes in Operation Server & Operation Manager were necessary due to improvements in security, stability and functionality of firmware and WebApps version 10.0.

The following functions are supported in Operation Server & Operation Manager version 10.0

As stated, changes in Operation Server & Operation Manager were necessary due to improvements in security, stability and functionality of firmware and WebApps version 10.0.

User Management

User Management: Import & Upgrade

  • Toolbox user accounts are not imported and available anymore during operation server setup
  • Toolbox user accounts are removed when upgrading existing Operation Server / Operation Manager installations to version 10.0
  • Use local Operation Manager users instead

User Management: Functionality

  • Allow console Login function removed for all users. Use REST API instead.
  • Load Mixer Snapshot on Login function removed for all users. Use REST API instead.

Snapshot Manager & Snapshot Server

  • Snapshot owners now can only be local Operation Manager users
  • Snapshots previously owned by Toolbox users are reset to owner Administrator
  • Server snapshots can only be viewed on the mixing console (Load/Save Remote Snap button list element), when set to public editable or public readable. Use built in Authorisation system of toolbox and firmware instead.
  • Remote creation of snapshots from a device to the server is no longer possible. Create snapshots locally on the device and transfer them using Operation Manager.

We recommend starting with a clean installation of Operation Server & Operation Manager version 10.0 and importing your configuration as documented.

If starting with a clean version 10.0 installation is not possible:

  • Before upgrading, create equal Operation Manager users and assign them to the correct rights groups as formerly used Toolbox user accounts
  • Check snapshot owners and replace them by local Operation Manager users
